For 36 years, Tom has helped guide the construction of acute healthcare facilities.

He is currently a member of the Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) Committee and co-chairs the committee that evaluates proposed changes for patient safety, life safety, clinical quality of care, clinical efficiency, operational efficiency, and sustainability. As an Associate Professor and Director of Commercial Construction Management Program at Middle Tennessee University State he is responsible for developing the program curriculum in HVAC, soils, foundations, and fundamentals of construction. He actively assists healthcare clients with program management, facility assessments, and capital planning.
